Vacheron Constantin has launched a platinum pocket watch as part of the company's Platinum Excellence Collection.
The Swiss watch-maker launched the platinum pocket watch as a continuation of the brand's fondness of the precious metal, reports superyachts.com.
The platinum watch is 28.5mm in diameter, which is magnified by the transparency of its sapphire crystal back.
Only 50 of these individually numbered watches have been created. They have the hallmark of Geneva on them and are equipped with a new mechanical propriety, the Calibre 4400.
Each piece also features a platinum dial that is inscribed with PT950, platinum hands, case and crown.
It costs $57,000 and, according to the news provider, is available from Vacherin Constantin retail outlets.
Vacheron Constantin was founded in Geneva in 1755, making it the oldest watch manufacturer in the world.
The first Vacheron Constantin boutique was opened in Geneva in 1906. The brand is now sold in nearly 80 countries across the globe.
