A Welsh sports star has proposed to his girlfriend with a platinum engagement ring.Rugby ace Lee Byrne proposed to his TV presenter girlfriend Andrea Benfield following a five-month romance, reports Wales Online.
Byrne is set to move to France soon and the rugby star wanted to show how committed he was to the Daybreak presenter.
He told the news provider: "With me moving to France it was the right time to make the commitment. It is early doors in the relationship but why not?"
Benfield also revealed her delight at her forthcoming nuptials, revealing the pair will not be having a long engagement.
She is quoted as saying: "I have a big smile on my face and a beautiful platinum diamond ring. I'm so happy. We won't be waiting too long to get married. Watch this space."
The happy couple were introduced by a mutual friend last year over social networking website Twitter.
