An increasing number of people may be opting for fitted platinum engagement and wedding rings, as an expert has said this style is popular at the moment.
Rachel Morgan, editor of Wedding Ideas magazine, which covers every element of the planning process from the hen night to the honeymoon, also claims that more women will have colored stones in their engagement rings.
She said: "The fitted wedding and engagement ring band is very popular, whereby they go together so you have a very plain wedding band and the engagement ring sits very closely to it.
"I think we are going to see a lot of colored stones, so maybe a move away from the traditional diamond arrangement."
Ms Morgan added that sapphires may become more popular because of Kate Middleton's engagement ring.
