The gala was the latest event at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival to attract some familiar names from the world of entertainment.

Banks was one of the chairs for the event, which featured a cocktail reception, dinner and a live auction.

Cate Blanchett wowed observers at the Cannes Film Festival when she wore platinum jewellery to her film premiere.


The Australian actress opted for two platinum and diamond bracelets by Van Cleef & Arpels as she stepped onto the red carpet for the first showing of 'Robin Hood' in the French city.

In the film, Blanchett appears as Lady Marion, alongside Russell Crowe, who plays the titular hero.

Other stars of the movie, which follows in the footsteps of countless versions of the legend of Robin Hood, include Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong and William Hurt and it is directed by Ridley Scott.

The tennis bracelet worn by Longoria Parker is one of Harry Winston's most impressive items, featuring 50 round brilliant diamonds, with approximately 4.90 total carats, in a platinum setting.

Longoria Parker is also one half of a celebrity couple that spans the entertainment worlds as her husband is Tony Parker, a basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs.

Julie Benz dazzled in platinum jewellery at the 2010 Breast Cancer Research Foundation's Hot Pink Party earlier this week.

Julie Benz, arguably best-known for her role as Rita Morgan on Dexter, added a dash of pink to her outfit by wearing a pair of Stephen Russell-designed kunzite earrings set in platinum, prlaboline.com reports.
She teamed the earrings with vintage bracelets and a diamond ring to ensure she sparkled on the red carpet.

Also attending the event, which was held on April 27th in New York, were Elizabeth Hurley, Evelyn Lauder and Bette Midler.

Hurley acted as MC, while her close friend Sir Elton John - godfather to her son Damian - performed at the party.

The English actress and businesswoman was also keen to incorporate pink into her outfit, tweeting earlier in the afternoon that she was "in New York trying on a zillion pink dresses for the big Breast Cancer fundraiser I'm hosting tonight".
