Rachel Weisz wears platinum jewellery to film premiere

Rachel Weisz has joined the long list of screen icons to choose platinum jewellery for their big day on the red carpet.

The actress attended the premiere of her latest film, 'Agora', in New York on Wednesday (May 26th) wearing the precious metal.
She opted for a fabulous pair of platinum and diamond stud earrings created by Manhattan-based Tiffany & Co.

Weisz stars in the film, a historical drama, alongside Max Minghella, Michael Lonsdale and Rupert Evans. Directed by Alejandro Amenabar, it is about the fourth century Roman astronomer-philosopher Hypatia of Alexandria, played by Weisz, and is set around the ancient Library of Alexandria.

The English star has built up a solid body of work over the past few years, ranging from blockbusters to small, independent films.
Her appearances is in 'The Mummy' franchise are perhaps her most notable forays in Hollywood, although she has also played leading roles in 'Enemy at the Gates' and 'The Constant Gardener', for which she won the Oscar for 'Best Supporting Actress'.
